Lessons from the Ground

Across the A Wild Life team, our work grows from years of practical experience in community projects, farming, market gardening, regenerative education, design and the land itself. Lessons from the Ground brings together stories and reflections from that journey, from growing food and designing gardens to building sustainably and creating spaces for learning and connection. Each case study explores what we have learned about how change happens in real places with real people, and how those lessons continue to shape the way we work today.

Supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, the Arts Council and several smaller funders, the project brought together local residents, educators and makers to create a living example of how community spaces can nurture both people and place.

So I took a 2-day Introduction to Permaculture course in Leicester, and then knew I wanted to take the next step and do a Permaculture Design Certificate course, known as a ‘PDC’.
