Community Climate Coaches (CCC) help unlock the potential of local organisation and networks and organisations to collaborate on meaningful community-led action on climate, resilience and wellbeing. This training equips you with the skills, tools and confidence to facilitate conversations, host participatory processes and support communities to design their own pathways towards resilience.
The training blends in-person workshops with online sessions, combining personal learning with practical facilitation practice. You will develop your own resilience as a changemaker while learning how to work with others in creative, inclusive and impactful ways.

Could You Be A Local Host for a Community Climate Coaches Training?
Our normal model is that we work with a local host organisation, and run the Community Climate Coaches training as a partnership, working together to secure funding and around 20 participants, arranging a venue and food, and other course logistics.
Why Community Climate Coaching Matters
Addressing climate change and the multi-crisis is not just about technology or policy. It is about people — how we connect, collaborate and build shared visions for a more resilient future. CCC training develops the human side of community action on climate and the multi-crisis: the organising, listening, hosting and facilitation skills that enable change to take root in communities. We focus on building community-led collaboration to define a shared vision of a more resilient local future, and the power we have to take collective action to bring this about.
“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.”
Jon Kabat-Zinn
The CCC approach helps individuals and communities to navigate the waves of disruption, uncertainty and opportunity with balance, creativity and hope, and to move together in a direction of their own choosing.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is for anyone who wants to support action in their community, organisation or network on climate, wellbeing and resilience. You may be a community organiser, facilitator, activist, educator, wellbeing practitioner, permaculture designer, or simply someone motivated to help your community respond positively to the climate crisis.
No prior facilitation experience is necessary. The course will meet you where you are and help you grow the skills you need. This is not a course on climate science, its focus is to design and deliver a community engagement strategy that builds collective capacity and momentum for change over the long term.
